Kojo Named Independent Electrical Contractors Official Bronze Partner

Arlington, VA, March 10, 2021 – Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) today announced that Kojo (formally Agora Systems) has become an official bronze partner to provide materials procurement software to IEC members. Leveraging Kojo’s platform, IEC members can bring their field, office, and warehouse teams, as well as their vendors, onto one digital system to streamline their collaboration. Kojo’s software allows contractors to easily create requisitions, issue purchase orders, and track invoices and deliveries that are essential to keeping projects on track.

“Finding ways to increase labor productivity is key for electrical contractors to grow their businesses and we’re committed to finding best practices to help them do just that,” says RaeShawn Crosson, IEC’s Interim EVP/CEO. “We’re excited to partner with Kojo, as their platform has proven to increase productivity and reduce materials costs for electrical contractors.”

Kojo saves field teams 38% of the time they spend handling materials by easily creating requisitions from an Amazon-like mobile app, which are submitted to the office digitally and in real-time. Office teams receive the requisitions in an easy-to-read, structured format, alleviating time wasted interpreting and transcribing the list into purchase orders. From within Kojo, digital purchase orders are submitted to a vendor of choice and entered automatically into an accounting system, decreasing overhead costs to process a purchase order by 75%. Field teams are notified in real-time with the status of their orders, and check-in the materials they receive to the job site.

“We’re honored to be selected as an official partner of IEC.” said Maria Rioumine, Kojo’s CEO and co-founder. “We’re very excited to help reduce overhead, save time, and increase labor productivity for IEC members by improving the way they manage and procure their materials.”
